In development · Private prototype
Outset Training is a training diary for endurance athletes and their coaches. Activity records, daily feedback and a useful weekly report. One place to see the whole week.
Working name. Built by Outset Limited in New Zealand. Public release planned; not yet open for sign-ups.
Talk to PabloThe problem
It records what happened. It doesn’t explain the heavy legs, the session moved around work, or the question you meant to ask. We’re building a clearer connection between training data and the athlete’s own words.
The experience
See the intended session and record what actually happened: running, strength, recovery or rest.
Capture perceived effort, recovery, niggles, fuelling and anything to discuss. Keep measured data separate from personal notes.
Bring the week together in an editable report. The athlete reviews it and decides what to share. The coach remains the coach.
Daily check-in
A static illustration of the intended interaction, not an interactive product demo.
Development status
The founder is the initial test athlete. The prototype is not a public service.
Garmin approval and connectivity are not in place. These integrations and multi-user features are not live.
Data, with context
We intend to use provider authorisation rather than ask athletes for their Garmin passwords. Data sources will be identified, duplicate activities reconciled, and athlete feedback kept distinct from device measurements.
Before a closed beta, we plan to implement account isolation, protected connection storage, disconnect and deletion controls, and explicit choices about coach sharing. Any AI-assisted summaries would be introduced only where provider terms permit and with clear disclosure of the processing involved.
We are not affiliated with or endorsed by Garmin. Provider approval and integration testing are required before we can offer Garmin connectivity. This is a training organisation product, not a medical service or a replacement for professional coaching.
Next: a small closed beta, then public release
