Coordinate and plan with application teams on MongoDB capacity planning for new applications. Knowledge of MongoDB tools like mongodump, mongoexport, mongorestore, mongoimport, mongostat, mongotop. Proficiency in JSON scripting, writing queries in MongoDB shell scripts. Support sharded clusters, perform upgrades, and configuration maintenance. Address, monitor, and manage capacity requirements: CPU, memory, storage. Assist application teams with performance bottleneck assessments and resolutions. Knowledge of authentication/authorization methods in MongoDB: SCRAM-SHA1, X509, LDAP, including TLS/SSL reconfigurations. Develop automated solutions for scripts, reports, upgrades, and installations. Experience with NoSQL DB technologies. Use Cloud manager and share metrics during issues. Experience with Docker, deploying MongoDB in containers. Knowledge of Hadoop administration is a plus. Deploy Hadoop clusters, manage nodes, monitor services, configure HA, backups, etc. Develop scripts for log review and query alerts. Experience with data storage technologies like Postgres, MySQL, Kafka, Kinesis. Strong scripting skills in Python and Shell. Build services and expose APIs for data infrastructure automation. Required Skills Understanding of relational and non-relational databases, their use cases. 5+ years supporting NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Elasticsearch, Hadoop). 1-2 years cloud experience (AWS, Azure, GCP, Hetzner). Automation expertise; knowledge of Ansible, Python, Terraform. Willingness to learn new technologies. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Software development experience, knowledge of modern processes. Knowledge of programming languages like Java, Go, Node.js, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap is a plus. Experience with AI/ML is a plus. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and lead teams. Work well under pressure, exercise judgment, exercise discretion. Proactive and involved attitude. Ownership of Datalake clusters, application onboarding, and issue resolution. Core Responsibilities Develop solutions for complex systems engineering problems. Manage Operating Systems & disks, mentor on OS concepts, create automation scripts. Manage database platforms, ensure performance, setup, and tuning. Handle storage and backups, create policies and standards. Develop software, optimize queries, design scalable solutions. Architect network systems, understand protocols. Advise on application technologies, web services, and system design. Analyze systems, lead issue resolution, define new tools, and manage projects. Exercise independent judgment, maintain punctuality.
